As part of its restructuring, General Motors executives decided to save Buick, kill Pontiac and Saturn. I remain unconvinced that this was the right decision, but I have to admit that the 2010 LaCrosse makes a very strong case that there is life left in Buick.

Business for General Motors in China continues to be impressive. GM has just sold the 1 millionth vehicle in China in 2009. The lucky owner of the 1 millionth vehicle (a silver Buick LaCrosse sedan) is Ye Banjun. And this isn’t GM’s first time. According to figures given by the company, this is the third consecutive year when GM and its Chinese allies exceeded 1 million sold cars in the country.
