2010 has certainly been a banner year for the GM by way of luxuriously and sleekly redesigned vehicles. We had the opportunity to test out the 2010 Buick LaCrosse CXS, and we must say – there was little left to be desired. The ‘10 LaCrosse breaks Buick’s mark as the automobile for grandparents [...]

“Vitality” recently purchased a 2010 Buick LaCrosse CXS and has become a big LaCrosse fan. As GM tries to build Buick into a heavy hitter in the luxury market, it will need fans like “Vitality” singing the brand’s praises. However,...

From "M" The Civilized Man August 1987 I meet my first Straight Arrow in Chicago. We were working on the same 'account' team and he was running it. Not that he'd ever point that out. He was everything on that list up there - - even the Buick. Always a Buick. And he came from more money than God. I never heard him utter a bad word about anyone except a co-worker who tried to steal an account...

Not surprising, then, that design input for the 2010 Buick LaCrosse should have been heavily influenced by Asian tastes, and that the overall result looks generically Asiatic: a touch of Hyundai Genesis from the front, Lexus ES350 at the back, Acura TL alongside. Not bad at all, really quite sleek and attractive. Just generic. But when you check into a Marriott hotel suite, say, that's what you want:...

For Buick to be a success in GM's post-bailout, post-bankruptcy era, the brand must dump its well-deserved reputation as the preferred marque of last-time buyers. Business for General Motors in China continues to be impressive. GM has just sold the 1 millionth vehicle in China in 2009. The lucky owner of the 1 millionth vehicle (a silver Buick LaCrosse sedan) is Ye Banjun. And this isn’t GM’s first time. According to figures given by the company, this is the third consecutive year when GM and its Chinese allies exceeded 1 million sold cars in the country.
