Tahiti. The mere mention of this rhythmic word conjures up images of picturesque beaches hopefully devoid of obese, Speedo-clad French tourists. Someone at General Motors’ downtown Detroit offices in the Renaissance Center must have been lost in a dream vacation one dreary winter day when he or she decided that the diminutive Chevrolet Aveo5 [...]

Do you remember a list we published with the 10 most fuel-efficient domestic cars? Here's a new one we'd add if we redid the list today: the Pontiac G3. Hear that tearing sound? It’s Washington Post car critic Warren Brown’s last shred of credibility being ripped to pieces– by his own hand, no less. If there was a single pistonhead laboring under the [false] impression that Brown was anything other than a Detroit apologist, this review of the craptastic Chevy Aveo will tempt that [...]

tyled "to reflect the bold new face of Chevrolet"; that's how the company's press material describes the frontal treatment of its new baby runabout, the Aveo. The only problem, as two of our reader-testers spotted when they saw the car – is that with its deep radiator grille, which extends below the front bumper and number plate, Chevrolet's bold new face looks a lot like the bold new face Audi adopted...
