German magazine Auto Sport has organized a means to test which car – the 2010 ‘Series II’ GT-R or the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 supercar – has the faster Nurburging lap time. Nissan 2010 ‘Series II’ GT-R had claimed a 7m 26.7s Nurburgring lap time while General Motors Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 supercar boasted to have a laptime of 7m 22.4 seconds.

As the federal government ratchets up fuel economy standards, General Motors Co. says it will do whatever it takes to keep the Chevrolet Corvette — even a hybrid powertrain.”We will only do a hybrid if that is what is required to maintain the vehicle,” says Tom Stephens, GM’s vice chairman of global product development.
