Filed under: MPG , Chrysler , Dodge Click image above for a high res gallery One of the few relative successes that Chrysler has had in the past decade has been the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger. For a time, the big rear wheel drive sedans were some of the hottest cars on the market. What they were not was particularly fuel efficient. Chrysler intends to improve on that with the redesigned 2011 model....

Chrysler’s LX-based vehicles – the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 – aren’t exactly the most fuel-efficient vehicles on the road, but the next iterations of LX cars will be much more fuel friendly. Chrysler is making drastic changes to both cars in order to comply with upcoming CAFE regulations. Re-designed versions of the Dodge Charger [...]

It's pretty obvious at this point that Cerberus doesn't want to keep Chrysler, and turbulent economic realities have scuttled what few available prospects there would have been for new ownership. Some have openly wondered whether team Pentastar is even working on new products at all. Product development...

Chrysler says that the next-generation Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger that are due for the 2011 model year will exceed the tougher fuel-economy standards that will take effect in two years. Frank Klegon, Chrysler’s executive vice president of product development, says that the two 2011 models will beat the industry-wide average of 31.6 mpg by [...]

As you'd imagine, it's pretty tough to run a successful auto company if there's no viable product in the pipeline. Chrysler has seen its fair share of negative press for not announcing a clear strategy to rebuild the heart of its line-up, namely the Chrysler Sebring and the Dodge Avenger, and it's unclear...

Most wouldn’t think of the ponycar genre when viewing the Edwards America. Instead, it looks more like the Chrysler Falcon/K-310/C-200/D’Elegance show cars of the mid-1950s. But the long-hood/short-deck design is there, along with the V-8 up front, the sporty intentions and the light weight. And had Sterling Edwards built more than six of the wonderful [...]

The nice policeman pulled a Chrysler 300C over and told the middle aged slightly balding Danish man driving that he was going 50 mph in a 40 mph zone. "My 300C was coasting at 40!" the driver protested. "Not according to my radar,"the red faced sweating overweight bald officer replied,"your Chrysler was moving". "Yes, I was!" the middle aged slightly balding Danish man shouted back, his face also getting...

I could tie this article to the current financial crisis and the potential bailout of the big 3 US automakers (GM, Chrysler and Ford), but in reality, I just heard Leo Laporte and Dick DeBartolo talking about Ricardo Montalban and I just love this commercial for the Chrysler Cordoba, especially after finding out that the [...]

Some people bemoaned the fact that President-elect Obama used to drive a Chrysler 300C. To me and many others a sure sign of class. Now as President-elect, like all other presidents new Limousines are being built for him. I really think this is the chance to get back to basics and have the Chrysler 300C Limousine outfitted as the premier presidential vehicle of choice. While they are at it why not...

The Replica Audi R8 built on the Mercury Cougar was pretty impressive, but it was easy to see it was not actually a real R8. Take the attributes of the Replica R8 and amplify them and you get this: a Mercedes SL600 that's actually a Chrysler LeBaron underneath. The look is uncanny, and you'd have to be an SL 600 aficionado to know the difference from a distance. But pop the hood or look at the interior...

People have been sticking cheesy Bentley knock-off grilles on their 300s since the day they went on sale (my favorite one has a probably copyright-infringing “B” at the top). But what you really need, if you want to trick the half-blind into believing you have a Roller and not a mere rapper’s Chrysler, are suicide [...]

Remember the SE-R that we saw at the Arse Freeze-A-Palooza '07 race , the one that placed 5th ? Krider Racing (who won the LeMons SF '08 race , got their Chrysler Cordoba into the California State Demolition Derby Championship, and apparently plan to take on every form of racing the planet has to offer) spent a few more bucks on their SE-R and took it to the NASA Performance Touring race at Infineon....
