My husband and I have been married for two months. Recently I found out that his 1997 Dodge Dakota has been having a problem. He says, “You just have to burp it sometimes.” What does that actually mean? He reports that his fuel pump gets “bubbles” in it, so he bangs on the fuel tank until the fuel can run again.

With waning interest in full-size pickups, all the major players have hit the market with a resounding thud. While the dee-luxe apartment in the sky is safe and clear for GM and Ford’s power players, the squeeze play can take the pie away from lesser-known trucks: those that do less, but cost more than expected. That said, now’s not a good time to be the mid-size Dodge Dakota.

I have a Dodge Dakota truck. Since I’ve been buying, I’ve had a Ford that was made in Germany (Jim Rome’s sled..boy was that a mistake after year 2), a Honda Accord, and Ford Tarus. Our former blog brother and spouse have two Ford SUVs though both have also owned Toyota’s in the past. I know LJ once had a Lexus. I’ve never really bought anything over something else because it was made here that I can...

Now before any of you off-roaders get all giddy about this new Mitsubishitake a deep breath. This is for Brazil, not the USA. Which is really a shame, as this is far more interesting than the current Dodge Dakota-based Raider. Speaking of which, when was the last time you saw a Mitsubishi Raider on the road? I don't think I've ever seen one... At any rate, this Brazilian Amazon swamp rat, er, L200...

Major depression looms as my wife and I fill up at the gas pumps. My wife drives a Volkswagen Jetta, a powerful little diesel. I drive a Dodge Dakota pickup. It's handy, but drinks gas. With diesel prices ranging from $3.69 to $3.89 a gallon and gas prices hovering at $3.13 a gallon, it costs us roughly $111 to fill up. Makes me wonder what else I could get for $111 (not including taxes). How about...

We may know within the next month as to which Chrysler products will be getting the ax. While there's been no official word yet, those in the know seem pretty certain that the Jeep Compass and Commander, the Chrysler Pacifica and Sebring, as well as the Dodge Dakota are likely candidates. "We have models that overlap, where we have two or three vehicles that serve the same market segment and maybe...
