a strange, but very nice day. as (mrs g) carol got her 'brand new' fiat grande punto (diesel). it was strange to see the mileometer reading 7 miles when we collected it from fiat main dealer this morning. especially as my trusty land rover has over than 125,000 miles on the clock. it was a good day (even warm) in the autumn sunshine of cornwall.

An upgraded variant of the Fiat Grande Punto Abarth SS will be introduced at the Geneva Motor Show this coming week. Like its predecessors, the 500 Abarth SS and Grande Punto SS package, the new variant comes equipped with a 16-valve 1.4-liter gasoline turbocharged 4-cylinder generating 180hp (134kW) to provide it a sprint rate of 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in 7.5 seconds with a maximum speed of 133mph (215km/h).
