2009 Ford Mustang GT Coupe Premium Sure, the live axle limits the Mustang's ultimate abilities, and the interior isn't terribly high quality, but we still can't help being drawn to the aging Ford coupe. I like the Mustang. It's rude and crude but huge fun to drive. I love the sound, the purity of the car. I don't think I would buy one over a VW GTI or a BMW 128i, but I'd be tempted. Here's a clean 1940 Ford Coupe that was put up for the Ridler Award at the 2008 Detroit Autorama. Owned by David Walsh out of Macon Georgia, this Ford would have probably done better any other year, because it's nearly a dead ringer for the '41 Willys we saw earlier. Deep black with a red leather interior, this one replaces the high rise intake and supercharger with eight single barrel throttle bodies...
