Mazda has made it official this morning, which will be what the segment B-2 in the North American market next year. The current-generation Mazda2 has been on sale in Europe and elsewhere in two years, but let's see here for the first Motor Show in Los Angeles in a couple weeks. The 2 share a platform with the Ford Fiesta, which also debut in the U.S. production of specifications in Los Angeles.

Mazda officially stated that its subcompact Mazda2 will indeed be sold in the U.S. As previously mentioned, the Mazda2 rides on the same chassis as the 2011 Ford Fiesta. No word on engine choice, but I'd bet it'll be the same as the Fiesta. I know ... shocking. The car will appear a the LA Auto Show in a couple of weeks. It should show up at dealers late next year.
