I once drove an oil tanker. She was called the Jahre Viking and at 1,504ft was not only the longest ship in the world but also the biggest man-made movable object. She was so vast, in fact, and drew so much water that she was unable to get through either the Panama or the Suez canal. Even the English Channel was too shallow.

By Chris Haak 11.16.2008 Infiniti’s new FX (available with a new 5.0 liter V8 as in my test vehicle, called the FX50, or with a 3.5 liter V6, called the FX35) is an all-new vehicle for the 2009 model year. The FX is a crossover, sort of, but in reality is a tall car. Also, its price, features, [...]

Almost a full two years has passed since I spent a couple of months living with an FX35 in The Garage and was sadly unimpressed with the utility offered for a family. It looked great, sounded great and drove great, but with just two hockey bags in the back, I couldn’t see out the aft [...]

Most luxury cars are better by the pound, but the Infiniti EX proves that small can be beautiful and luxurious. This small crossover compares more or less with the BMW X3 and Acura RDX, but the EX looks less like a small sport utility and more like a downsized version of the larger Infiniti FX. Think of the EX as a station wagon to the G35 sedan.

Wholly impractical and politically incorrect, but you have to admire its in-yer-face performance and looks.
