There are rumors circulating that the production of Nissan’s Infiniti QX56 SUV will be transferred from the Mississippi plant to the Nissan Shatai Co.’s Kyushu plant in Japan next year. However, Nissan has yet to confirm the report provided by Nikkei business daily.

We learned in May that the replacement for the current Infiniti QX56 will be a unibody SUV developed in Japan -- quite a change from the U.S.-engineered, body-on-frame truck we have today. Presumably, it will be a bit smaller as well. It has been suggested that this new SUV might be based on the Nissan Patrol/Safari, but we're skeptical since the Patrol has always used body-on-frame design. Regardless,...

According to the latest reports, Nissan is currently preparing a new Quest minivan as well as a new version of the Infiniti QX56 SUV. Bothe vehicle are set to make their official debut next year. For those who don’t know, the latest Nissan Quest was seen in 2003 while the Infiniti QX56 made its debut in 2004.

Pricing for its 2010 QX56 model has been made available by Infiniti although the new model did not receive a lot of major revisions, except for some minor ones in several areas of the vehicle.
