Jaguar ’s plans include a fastback, sporting estate version of the XF and for this version to enter production in 2012. This project coincides with the facelift of the XF, changes of which will include a bolder grille inspired by the new 2010 Jaguar XJ .

Despite the weak new car market, Jaguar’s XF saloon continues to outsell all of its saloon rivals in the UK. Reportedly, the margin is growing. It took 60% of the UK’s executive saloon market in July; earlier this year it was closer to 50%. Jaguar says that what’s working for the company is its focus on residuals and keen pricing and equipment levels.
