Jaguars are one of the most popular classic cars for hire in the UK. Most classic car hire fleets are quite small so until now enthusiasts have had to pick and choose Jaguar cars, locations and websites in order to sample different classic Jag models. Great Escape Classic Car Hire has solved the problem by creating a specialist division to hire its large fleet of classic Jaguars. The new division,...

We've seen the LeMons depreciation record shattered , with the '89 BMW 750iL that reigned supreme in that category since its (brief) appearance at the The Lamest Day knocked off its pedestal! That's right, it really is possible to obtain a great big Benz with a V12 engine, dent-free body, and cherry interior for 500 bucks. Now, some of you may be asking yourselves, "How in the hell could a car...

The Ford Capri has been recognised as a bonafide classic 40 years after it first went on sale. We've added a 1984 Ford Capri Mk3 2 litre S to our fleet of over 30 classic cars for rental. It is the first Capri available for hire in the world and now sits alongside classic rental cars like Jensen Interceptors, Jaguar E Types and Triumph Stags. The Great Escape Ford Capri is available to hire to anyone...

Governments all over the world have introduced Cash-For-Clunkers-style programs that are nothing if not controversial. While the stated intent of each of these schemes is to increase new car sales and remove older, dirtier and less fuel efficient vehicles from the road, some powerful organizations have voiced concerns that untold numbers of classic machinery may be lost forever for no good reason....

I'm stuck with 2 Jaguars since my Dad died. Yes I mean stuck. The cars were leased through my Dad's company so until it goes bankrupt, I'm stuck with two cars with a car payment that approaches $1,900 per month...

Of course we all knew there was about as much chance of the Citröen CX2500 Prestige beating the '60 Mercedes-Benz 190 wagon as there'd be of Günter Grass hiding his SS service forever. We should know by now that the Citröen always wins a Choose Your Eternity poll, but it was worth a try! Today we're going with a different sort of theme, one suggested by Feds , who was shopping for projects...

Now, we can't say for certain that electrical-system woes sent this 1990 Jaguar XJ-S down the road that ends at the cold steel jaws of The Crusher, because a 99% likelihood is still not certainty. However, when you see an 18-year-old V-12 Jag sitting in the wrecking yard with a straight body and good interior... well, the diabolical laughter of Joe Lucas can be heard somewhere in the distance. It's...

Yesterday, we had what may be our closest Project Car Hell vote yet, with the '91 Jaguar XJ-S holding a 199 to 194 lead over the Toronado-ized Dune Buggy in yesterday's Legends of LeMons Choose Your Eternity poll . I'd say that counts as a tie, and- try to follow the logic here- that means we need to do away with the unifying theme for today's entrants. You want a project that's so cool you wake up...

Considering how many Jaguar XJ6s I see in the junkyard, they're not so common on the streets of Alameda. My guess is that dead Jags languish in back yards, garages, and driveways for year after year (it just needs a few "minor repairs," really!), until an enraged wife or landlord dispatches them to The Crusher. Whatever the reason, it's been quite a while since we last saw a Jaguar in this...
