I've got to admit that I've ummed and ahhed about this choice. The reason for that is that, when it comes to the post-war Jaguar XK range most people prefer the XK140's predecessor - the XK120. However, I've always thought the XK140 was not only the prettier car it was also the car that seemed to best reflect that golden age of Hollywood glamour from the fifties. As I pass the junction with Morocco Street, part of the fashionably boho enclave, a gleaming Jaguar XK140 in British Racing Green throbs gently, the epitome of early James Bond, And-All-Because-The-Lady-Loves-Milk-Tray power, suavity and sophistication. And at the wheel, beaming in ear-to-ear self-satisfaction, the spitting image of Alfed E. Surely Martin Mißfeldt is an incredible artist, as we always enjoy watching his drawing session. This time, the classic Jaguar XK140 is being drawn. Enjoy! @ haha.nu.

You must finish a project...

Those of us who live in Alameda or Oakland might cringe a bit when our Berkeley neighbors once again make the national headlines for something silly, but the hometown of Philip K. Dick (not to mention plutonium) is a no-arguments international superpower when it comes to cool old cars- especially weird European machines- parked on the street. Citröens, 60s BMWs, and Fiats are all over Berkeley,...

So we got this babe driving down the coast in an old Jaguar and the Charge light comes on. What to do? Why, whip off one of her Pretty Polly stockings and tie it into the exact right length for use as a fan belt (we don't see her adjusting the tension, but we must assume that she's carrying a major set of tools if she's driving that thing out of sight of her garage). What happens next? It probably...

Some rag called the Daily Telegraph asked their readers to nominate the best-looking cars of all time, and this is what they came up with… 1 - Jaguar E-type 2 - Citroën DS 3 - Jaguar XK120/140/150 4 - Ferrari Dino 206/246 GT 5 - Lamborghini Miura : 100 - Volvo P1800 …not a bad compilation, but once or twice one has [...]
