Eight-months-pregnant Enja Moore is on the loose with her six kids after stealing them from the "father's San Leandro home late Tuesday night." Swiping the father's Mazda MPV minivan in the process, Moore and her children - ages 1, 3, 4, 5, 10 and 11 - are presumably still in the Bay Area. Oh, and the three-year-old kid, we're told, needs insulin shots regularly, so if you've seen Moore (California...

Although the rotary engine never quite caught on in the automotive industry, Mazda has stuck with the unique powerplant for the last few decades. The engine’s pistonless design allows for a lot of punch in a relatively small package, but also requires a higher-than-average level of fuel consumption. However, Mazda is working on [...]

Autoblog reported this weekend Mazda's put the kibosh on rumors of a Mazdaspeed version of the MX-5 . Speculation was rampant the turbo 2.3-liter Mazdaspeed3 engine would end up under the hood of the MX-5, but apparently the fuel pump design makes the swap from transverse to longitudinal mounting prohibitively expensive. So what's a forced-induction fan with an MX-5 to do? How about give the aftermarket...

On this past Wednesday, my wife was in a car accident. An idiot in a Mercedes E550, on his BlackBerry at the time, went right through a red light and hit my wife. Her 2001 Mazda Tribute rolled a few times, coming to rest down the road on its roof. Fortunately a couple who lived in the apartments at the corner got her out before anything happened. Her Tribute, though it sustained a few dents and bent...
