To meet demands from Daimler AG, Belgian foam maker Recticel said earlier this week that it had to cut 110 jobs at its plant in Wetteren, Belgium, and move some of its production to Germany. Under a contract that expires at the end of 2010, Recticel produces components for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class at three plants, including Wetteren.

Daimler has offered a 200-euro service voucher for those affected by an engine malfunction discovered in four-cylinder diesel engines available on Mercedes-Benz C-Class, E-Class and GLK.
