Is it just me, or is the forthcoming Nissan Cube ... just weird? Lots of buzz, and now a site hyping the launch next spring in the U.S. I know the boxy look has been popular among car designers, but the Cube is boxalicious. I'm curious to see what young, eco-affinity types make of it in the marketplace.

There is no good reason at all for Nissan to take their fuel-cell-powered X-Trail to the Nordschleife, but that's what they've gone and done. An 11-minute, 58-second lap time and putting a fuel cell-powered SUV on the 'Ring are both patently ridiculous. Enough. Nissan, it was great when you blasted round the 'Ring with the GT-R , but now you've just Fonzied yourselves. [ EdmundsInsideLine ]

Okay folks, this 'Ring Thing is just getting plain silly, as Nissan has now taken a X-Trail Fuel-Cell to the curcuit. So I guess Nissan can claim to have both one of the fastest cars to lap the "Ring (GT-R: 7:29) and the slowest (X-Trail Fuel-Cell: 11:58). Actually, the more I think about it, I think we should allow more (really slow) vehicles to have 'Ring lap braggin' rights. I say we (or someone)...

2010 Nissan Versa Buying AdviceThe Nissan Versa is the best car for you if you find beauty not in how it looks, but in how it carries people and their stuff -- and feels pretty good doing it.& Versa’s small-outside big-inside trick is best performed by the four-door hatchback version, not the four-door sedan. The hatchback is a high-roof wagon that gives a quartet of six-footers plenty room for knees...

Filed under: Hybrids/Alternative , SUVs , Green , Nissan The undisputed champion of hydrogen fuel cell SUVs at the Nurburgring has been crowned: the Nissan X-Trail FCV. The winning time: 11:58. Of course, it's the winning time because it's the only time -- a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle has never ran the 'Ring before. After piloting the 120 bhp X-Trail around the world for two years, Nissan engineer...
