If Detroit's ad agencies could write like this, bailouts wouldn't be needed. sale-935623801@craigslist.org: NINJA HAULER: 2005 Nissan Xterra - $12900 (Ronan / Lake County) OK, let me start off by saying this Xterra is only available for purchase by the manliest of men (or women). This morning arrived with a bit of a conundrum here in The Garage. With a huge blast of winter forecast for this evening, what will my weapon of choice be for the drive into the big smoke. Let’s see now: old Nissan Xterra with some sort of generic snows, 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab [...]

No, you're not mistaken, that is a picture of a Nissan Xterra. Why are we posting on such an un-luxurious P.O.S? In 2007 we were a tiny bit disappointed that Nissan chose not to bring an Xterra to the IMPA Test Days. We were delighted that the X made an appearance at the 2008 event and even more delighted to catch it on video for our views. Check out the sloppy, wet, wheel lifting action after [...]

There's something to be admired about sticking to your roots. In the automotive world, vehicles get changed about as often as an infant's diaper. Usually they grow up, just like little kids. Two examples: the Honda Fit and Scion xB, both of which started out as nimble little economy machines, then got bigger as soon as the new generation came to pass. read more

On Tuesday, I finally got to take KGG out for her 16th birthday, 18 days after the fact. As usual, we went out for a smoothie. That sentence took a couple of hours. I picked KGG up at her house. I got to see her car - a black Nissan Xterra. She likes the interior of my newer model and the body of her older version. I would agree with her assessment. I allowed her the option of driving mine for the...

We acquired our Tennessee-made/Japanese-designed Nissan Xterra while we were still living in Canada. At the time, I was looking for the most appropriate film production crew vehicle that could also handle the mountains, snow and off-roads of British Columbia. It...

The topic of the day in other parts of Al Gore's Interwebs seems to be the blame game as it relates to the prices you and I are paying at the pump for gasoline. I don't have to tell you we're paying through the nose. We are. It cost me $60.00 to fill up my 2001 Nissan Xterra today. With the heat wave we just had here in the northeast, I got a whopping 18 miles per gallon for my hard-earned gasoline...
