The 2010 Car of the Year award will be chosen from the seven finalists namely: the Citroen C3 Picasso, Mercedes-Benz E-Clas s, Vauxhall/Opel Astra , Peugeot 3008 , Skoda Yeti , Toyota iQ and Volkswagen Polo . The 58 jurors, who represent 22 countries, will announce a winner on November 30.

According to the latest reports, it appears that Opel will unveil the new 2010 Astra GSI in March, at the Geneva Motor Show . This new car will feature a new aerodynamic kit consisting of a new front bumper, side sills and a rear apron with integrated exhaust system and air diffuser.

These are the latest shots of the 2010 Opel Astra taken by regular cameras and not the automaker’s own glitzy press shots. While other cars might not look as great on non-official photos, the 2010 Opel Astra really does look every bit as dashing and attractive as it had been made out to be.
