Located just south of Austria and in the northern portion of what was once Yugoslavia, Slovenia is an ideal place to find street-parked cars from all over Europe, East and West, not to mention the occasional Detroit truck. Nicjasno , the guy who brought us the rescued Slovenian Peugeot 504 , is back with a vast collection of photos from his part of the world. Make the jump for over 100 photos and...

Welcome to Project Car Hell , where you choose your eternity by selecting the project that's the coolest... and the most hellish! The air-conditioned Renault 12 won handily over the Peugeot 504 in yesterday's Choose Your Eternity poll . We're going to take a break from PCH Superpowers- don't worry, you'll see more of France, Britain, and Italy soon enough- and head on back to Detroit. Well, Detroit...

Welcome to Project Car Hell , where you choose your eternity by selecting the project that's the coolest... and the most hellish! Yesterday we learned that 58% of Jalopnik readers prefer a Cadillac Allanté to a Chrysler TC By Maseratii , and we'd love to keep the run of crypto-Italian cars going. However, we're taking a break from PCH Superpower Italy to return to our old Hell Project friends, the...

You could buy a Renault-branded '65 Rambler American in Argentina well into the 1980s, which was pretty cool (though not as cool as the Nigerians building them until 2005, of course). But imagine buying a brand-new Peugeot 504 all the way until the end of the 20th century; better still, imagine dirt-road 504 hoonage with a wild-eyed nun behind the wheel! We're pretty sure the Proceso de Reorganización...

Normally, a Malaise Era car with 500,000 miles would be an ideal appetizer for The Crusher, but this one is a movie star! Yes, this 1979 Peugeot 504D was driven by Adam Sandler in You Don’t Mess With The Zohan, a cinematic masterpiece that will one day be regarded as the Citizen Kane of our [...]

I owned a 504 of this vintage in the early 90s, and they were a not uncommon sight back then. However, I haven’t seen one on the street here for at least ten years… so why have I found two of them in East Bay self-service junkyards in the last few months? Where are they [...]

Maybe you didn't head straight to Nigeria when you learned that you can still buy a new Peugeot 504 there , preferring instead to save your money for a brand-new Italian 1960s car. Well, no need to head to Serbia for a 128- based Zastava Skala 55, not when you can go to Egypt and get yourself a gleaming new Nasr 128 ! You get the 65-horse 1300 engine with your Nasr 128, but we can't figure out the...

We're getting more DOTS Bonus Edition stuff from Yurp these days, which gives us just that much more opportunity to see Peugeot 504s in their native habitat. Nicjasno , from the Slovenian city of Maribor, has photographed his family's 504, which was found sitting abandoned in the weeds near a Peugeot dealer and brought back to life. The new paint job looks nice, and we even get a bonus vintage Benz;...

Supposedly the last of the African 504s was built a few years ago... yet the Peugeot Nigeria website still offers the 504 Configurator. You don't have a lot of options (though you can get a wagon), but it's a genuine late-60s-technology 504 that we must assume is built way better than the citrus-flavored examples that were shipped to North America back in the day. And the price? About $25,000 if you're...

Even though I've owned a Malaise Peugeot 504 and occasionally wake up screaming with Peugeot Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PPTSD), I'm on board with the official pro-504 Jalopnik position. Any car that can be fixed by a Senegalese mechanic equipped with 15% of a Taiwanese socket set and a big hammer is OK in our book, and the 4x4 pickup truck version just makes it that much better. That's why it...

After seeing a Jeep Gladiator and a Peugeot 504 in East Bay junkyards so far this week, we should probably take a look at an old BMW giving its life that other 2002s might live. It looks like something heavy was dropped on this car's roof at some point (evidence of a rollover collision seems absent), but otherwise this car is fairly solid.
