Not very shockingly, the Mercedes-Benz 450SEL beat up on the Pontiac Bonneville in our 6.9 Liters Of Misery Choose Your Eternity poll on Friday, no doubt because voters were counting camshafts or dollars in the original purchase price or something. Today we're going to have the traditional post-24 Hours Of LeMons PCH, only instead of letting you choose between the cars that finished #1 and #2 (in...

This is Down On The Street Bonus Edition , where we check out interesting street-parked cars located in places other than the Island That Rust Forgot . Today we're going to show that old GM cars don't always dissolve into reddish stains on the pavement, even in a damp climate like the Pacific Northwest. Zeet has photographed this pair of very solid-looking examples of The General's products for us;...

Crap. I won't be in the Silver Valley for Pinehurst Days this coming weekend. That means I won't see the Commanchero's car show where over 150 shiny and classy cars will be on display. But, a week or so ago, Antonette at Jottings from Jersey kindly sent me photos of this 1960 Pontiac Bonneville and it helped fill the inward void formed by my not being able to attend Pinehurst Days this year.

Tomsk sends in these photos of a very, very nice '61 Pontiac Bonneville, which he shot in- you guessed it!- Orange County. Yes, we're back in Costa Mesa, where just $4,200 will buy you this seriously original sedan (well, it would have bought it a couple months ago, when Tomsk shot these photos).

Obama-mania is spreading like a virus into advertising as Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” found in this Dallas Area Kia dealer ad for the Sportage. Of course John Stewart ridicules the spot, which features not only a likeness of the Illinois Senator but a rip-off his “Yes we can!” catch phrase. If this is the [...]

When I was in high school I used to spend my Saturday mornings making mix tapes to play in my 1990 Pontiac Bonneville when I went out on Saturday night. Sure, iPods and other devices that you can dump all your favorite music onto are convenient but there are few things more personal than a mix tape. (Anyone who has made one for a special someone knows what I mean.) Now there's a program that lets...

Minor adjustments: in 1965, gasoline was usually $0.29.9, and only TWO attendants came out to do all that work. When some guy came in with a Pontiac Bonneville to fill his 30-gallon tank, we'd hit the Mother Lode with a $10.00 total sale! HT: Christus Vincit

What makes a movie great? For car enthusiasts, the cars are as important as the people driving them. In "Bonneville," a road-trip picture starring Jessica Lange that opens today, it's a 1966 Pontiac Bonneville convertible that takes center stage. See review, Page 3D.

"Bonneville" is a sentimental, daffy and dawdling road picture about people who have some mileage on them. It's a journey of self-discovery that takes place in a 1966 Pontiac Bonneville convertible.
