Drivers of the Chevrolet Uplander, Saturn Relay, Buick Terraza, and Pontiac Montana are complaining about a serious sliding door problem, where the doors will open while the vehicle is in motion. More than two dozen complaints have been received by the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, yet there have been no recalls.

General Motors has recalled 20,594 sport-utility vehicles and minivans from 2001 to 2004 to replace fuel tanks that may leak and cause fire. The recall includes some 2002 to 2004 Chevrolet Venture vans and Buick Rendezvous SUVs, and 2001 to 2004 Pontiac Aztek SUVs and Pontiac Montana vans, the company told the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
