Dad finally changed the old V reg Honda Accord he bought when we returned from Australia. How it kept going for almost 1-1/2y travelling to and from Aberdeen we'll never know. New Saab 9-3 Aero convertible is much better. C is now at University and travelling to and from Aberdeen every weekend. The old car is now replaced with a newer Corsa "Design". Just in time for the bad winter weather....

By all outward appearances, this Saab 99 is a nicely maintained Grandma car. Underneath, it's an all-wheel-drive, turbocharged, 700 HP terror machine capable of 9.8 second quarter miles. This Swede-built creation is likely the most ridiculous sleeper ever created. Winters are long in Sweden and very dark. There's not much to keep you entertained, which explains why so many of the world's stupid-awesome...

The tooling and design rights to the outgoing Saab 9-5 are likely to be bought by the Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation (BAIC), according to our sources. Recently, BAIC became a minority shareholder in the Koenigsegg Group, which is seeking to buy Saab from General Motors.

The 2010 Saab 9-5 will get its own hybrid version, the powertrain of which will not only cut fuel consumption and emissions but also supply a higher level of torque when accelerating. Saab said that it intended to bring an extra boost to the car however specs have yet to be disclosed. According to Autocar , the car will have a 1.4-liter turbocharged unit that will be assisted by a small electric unit.
