Yeah....picked up that rental car last night and am now driving a Suzuki Forenza. It's small, zippy, fun to drive because it's small and zippy...but I confess to being used to my land yacht of a vehicle. I wonder if...

You know how awesome the GMDAT Suzuki Forenza sedan is? Unfortunately, we've never reviewed it here at TTAC, which is mostly due to our intimidation by the 127 horsepower engine. Still, the car has a real global role. In Canada (where it was recently discontinued) it was known as the Chevy Optra. In the UK, the Chevy Lacetti. And in China? It's a luxury car! The Buick brand, very strong in China,...

You know the Kia Optima? Not really, no? The Optima is what you would buy because you just didn't like the Suzuki Forenza. Though a mid-cycle refreshment, it's a definite improvement over the "only as a rental car" original design. There's also more power for the four-cylinder engine, which is now nearly as powerful as the V6. Features such as leather sports seats and turn signal lights integrated...

When you think of Italian designer Pininfarina and its lengthy resume of exotic cars, including many Ferraris, Suzuki probably doesn't come to mind. But, surprisingly, the Suzuki Forenza was partially designed by Pininfarina. Go figure. Also surprised was the author...

Filed under: Economy , Sedans/Saloons , Hatchbacks , Suzuki In memoriam: the Suzuki Forenza and its brother, the Reno , will shuffle off this mortal coil after 2008. Oh, how we barely knew thee - but we're not surprised. Both vehicles have seen a dip in sales this year, and with the SX4's numbers up over 35-percent for 2007, and a sedan version due out in October, Suzuki obviously had too many vehicles...

Filed under: Spy Photos , Chevrolet , GM Lehmann has captured a camoflaged Chevy running around the Nurburgring that we'll likely see in the States as the Suzuki Forenza. The Lacetti is sold around the world under varied monikers -- it's the Forenza here, in the UK it's the Chevy Lacetti, and China gets it as a Buick. They all started off as the smartly styled Daewoo Nubira. The styling doesn't appear...
