The plug-in hybrid Opel Ampera is likely to be offered with a price tag of 24,500 pounds (about 28,000 euros), according to Opel’s managing director Hans Demant. The Opel Ampera was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year and is slated to go on sale in 2012.With this price, the Opel Ampera would be less expensive than the top of the line Vauxhall Zafira with automatic transmission.

Because it is more fuel-efficient and has less emission, the Fiat 500 has replaced the Vauxhall Corsa as the basic learner driver vehicle at the British School of Motoring (BSM). This is devastating for Vauxhall since around 70% of new license holders buy the same model in which they learned to drive.
