Am sure I am getting Hot flushes as I run around town on my Saturday morning shop, god the things we girls have to put up with!. So the battery appears knackered on the Volvo ( turns out somebody left a courtesy light on) so I pop over to the lovely chaps at Halfords , some vacuous child behind the till informs me that I will need to invest the tidy fortune of £104.95 for the pleasure of their...

Up until a few weeks ago, I hadn’t ever heard of the Volvo P1800. Then I discovered an ES estate version for sale down in Bedfordshire. Today, I found a P1800S parked in Morrisons in Cheadle Heath. It does look rather good… even though its front bumper is missing.

Had an awesome night last night. As part of a 25th anniversary celebration of a trading relationship we took some people to this place . Basically its a warehouse/garage in E1, London stuffed full of classic (and future classic cars). You can look at all the cars, then you get to pick eight of them and take them out for a spin around a pre-determined circuit of the City. The cars I drove were a Ferrari...

‘Sporty’ is not a word you associate readily with Volvo. True, some of their turbo-charged cars have had a turn of speed, and many of their models are not too slouchy (of course, if you throw something like the Vox Volvo in then that changes dramatically!). So you won’t be shocked to learn that the [...] Post from: Cars UK | UK Car News Volvo XC60 R-Design revealed Related posts:...

You have to admire Volvo. The abused and unloved adopted child of Ford, they are still managing to produce cars the buying public wants (and working on ground-breaking projects - like the Volvo plug-in hybrid for 2012), and receiving accolades and plaudits in to the bargain. The latest trinket to come Volvo’s way is ‘Green Car [...] Post from: Cars UK | UK Car News Volvo S40 DRIVe - Green...

As GM’s problems continue to reverberate, with Fiat trying to get its hands on Opel and Vauxhall being promised aid my Lord Mandy if needs be (I’d get that in writing guys, if I were you), Saab and its future has been a little sidelined. Swedish designer Mattias Vöcks who’s better known for hand-assembling Koenigsegg supercars has recently unveiled his new project, a completely redesigned version of the classic Volvo P1800 (better known as the car Roger Moore drove in the British Television series The Saint back in the 1960s). When I was a little kid I liked watching reruns of The Saint , which starred Roger Moore as Simon Templar. Like most cool 60's and 70's cult TV heroes he drove a dam cool car, the Volvo P1800. Now Swedish designer Mattias Vöcks, who works by hand assembling supercars for Koenigsegg has decided to update the classic Volvo. With help from Bo Zolland from Swedish design firm Vizualtech, Vöcks...

When super car brands are brought up, Volvo doesn't usually come to mind. That might change thanks to Koenigsegg engineer Mattias Vöx and his re-imagined, 600HP, V8-powered modern Volvo P1800 . Don't get us wrong, the two Swedish companies won't officially be working together to build the new Volvo P1800 , but their engineering know-how will be in full effect. Vöx has approached Swedish...
