Yes, Yalumba are really making some great wines at the moment. I think in company with Sandalford, the biggest improvers in Australian wine. Speaking of improvers, have you tasted the Mistletoe range yet? Very impressive wines at realistic prices. GD

Australian wine prices are expected to rise due to the country being ravaged by drought. The country is in the grip of its worst drought on record, the victim of changing weather patterns attributed to global warming and the water shortage is causing problems for the wine industry. A south-west Western Australian wine bottling facility is looking to switch to nitrogen gas so it can continue its operations. The Capel Vale Winery usually uses carbon dioxide to bottle wine for 100 WA wineries, but has been unable to source any CO2, because it is no longer being produced, due to the gas shortage.
