Paul Doughty, Linda Doughty, both of Keyport, N.J., and Berlinda and Antoinette Cole were sailing the Wolf when it began taking on water after the vessel apparently struck an unknown object in water. The vessel began flooding rapidly, and the group had no choice but to activate their emergency position indicating radio beacon to signal for help.

After a crewmember aboard the Discoverer Deep Seas spotted a possible man overboard, the Coast Guard rescue aircrew flew to the location, found the diver, and guided the Discoverer Deep Seas' small boat to the diver's location to pick him out of the water. A medic aboard the Discoverer Deep Seas assessed the diver's condition and he was transferred back to his dive vessel in good condition.

MIAMI - The crew of Coast Guard Cutter Dauntless repatriated 193 Haitian migrants to Cap-Haiten, Haiti, Monday. The Haitian migrants were located aboard two over-crowded sailboats Friday while the 210-foot cutter patrolled the waters off Haiti enforcing alien migrant interdiction operations.

Coast Guard Station Jones Beach received the initial call that the Miss Edith, a clamming dredge owned by Bayhead Inc., Manahawkin, N.J., was submerged in roughly 20-feet of water and leaked 100-gallons of diesel fuel in the Hog Island Channel. The owner reported he had deployed a boom around the vessel to stop the leakage.
