A little more this morning on the National Journal's Linda Douglass's decision to join the Obama campaign. I wrote yesterday that during the Clinton administration, Douglass, then working for CBS News, had to recuse herself from covering close friends Mickey Kantor and Webb Hubbell (the latter because Douglass and her husband had, among other things, vacationed in Greece with the Hubbells, and Douglass's...
Check out this video. It's a flick of Hillary Clinton's adviser Mickey Kantor calling Indianans worthless white niggers in 1992. And yes that is James Carville and George Stephenopoulos. I haven't seen much talk about this in the mainstream media yet. Maybe it's because Kantor isn't a pastor and isn't black. But this definitely seems to be a much crazier comment than anything Jeremiah Wright has ever...
. This doctored video clip from the 1992 campaign purports to show Mickey Kantor, one of Hillary Clinton's closest advisers, calling the people of Indiana “shit” and asking, “how would you like to be a worthless white nigger?” Kantor was responding to poll numbers that show Bill Clinton led in Republican bastions like Indiana and Oklahoma. [...]
The scene in question appears at about 4:45. According to the man who started it all, Jake Tapper of ABC News, the clip that circulated the interwebs today (and was ignored by the mainstream media) from the movie, “The War Room” was accurate in at least part. Mickey Kantor, who claims otherwise on the Huffington Post, [...]
I’m sure by now you heard about the Mickey Kantor smear story from the movie “War Room.” You can read it through the link. The point of a smear is to get it out there in the ozone no matter if it's right or wrong. Anyway, I woke up to the story like [...]
SOUTH BEND -- The Hillary Clinton campaign is dealing with a quickly exploding controversy: a YouTube video that shows Mickey Kantor, a high-level Clinton campaign advisor, allegedly making degrading remarks about people from Indiana during Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign. ABC News claims the video is doctored and he said nothing of the kind.
In a May 2 post on his ABC News blog Political Punch, ABC News senior national correspondent Jake Tapper republished a May 1 post he had temporarily taken down, in which he asserted: "Bill Clinton's Trade Representative, a supporter of Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, and an informal adviser to her campaign -- once seemed to have some not-so-nice things to say about the Hoosiers his chosen candidate is...
MICKEY KANTOR TOTALLY CALLED INDIANA PEOPLE "SHIT": So maybe the "white niggers" part of that Mickey Kantor video was altered, but were Indiana's people the referent of his "shit" usage? Check out...
... is bogus. I don't know whether it's being pushed by actual (stupid) Obama supporters or by Rushbo's "Operation Chaos" types, but no, Mickey Kantor didn't use an expletive or a racial slur against Indianans, and the tape has been doctored to make it appear that he did. And I'm glad to say that as far as I know no pro-Obama blogger picked up on the story (though Byron York of NRO got stung and then...
Forgoing for a moment the dirty trick of the doctored clip from “The War Room,” which falsely had Mickey Kantor using a racial slur, the filmmaker behind the documentary has posted the clip on his Web site to clarify that...
I talked about this briefly in the comments of another post and was going to ignore it, but this Mickey Kantor nonsense is pretty offensive. I am not talking about his alleged remarks- I am talking about the people pushing this crap. I don't care, and you shouldn't care, what a Bill Clinton campaign [...]
Politico's Ben Smith is debunking a YouTube clip that allegedly shows Mickey Kantor, a staffer with the 1992 Bill Clinton presidential campaign calling Indiana residents "shit" and then turning to his colleagues George Stephanopolous and James Carville
I hesitate to even mention this, in part because it's a classic non-story, and in part because I suspect the target of the story would much prefer that people stop talking about. But once in a while, I assume readers want to know what the political world is buzzing about and today's topic du jour [...]
JAKE TAPPER OF ABC NEWS REPORTS HILLARY CLINTON'S ADVISOR, MICKEY KANTOR, CALLED THE PEOPLE OF INDIANA FECES DURING THE '92 CAMPAIGN. HERE'S THE VIDEO... I HAD TO POST IT BEFORE THE HILLARY CAMPAIGN GETS IT TAKEN OFF YOUTUBE. CAN YOU SAY FACISM HILLARY? ">
A video was circulating the Obama-supporting netroots this morning, purporting to show Mickey Kantor calling the voters in Indiana "sh!t" and "white n****rs." The clip was from the documentary War Room , which chronicled Bill Clinton's 1992 campaign. DailyKos, DU, et al pushed the story hard, hoping to impact the Indiana primary next week. Unfortunately, The Politico got a hold of the director of War...
