David Leavitt, who was given the heave-ho at the state GOP Convention Saturday, issued a press release today to say he was standing by his decision to endorse Rep. Chris Cannon. Well, OK. . . . by Robert Gehrke Rep. Chris Cannon will face a primary with Jason Chaffetz, a former chief of staff to Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr., who surprised observers by coming within a handful of votes of knocking the six-term incumbent out of office. "A win is a win," said Chaffetz, who will be on the June primary ballot. "We're going to go out and take it to Cannon right from Day 1." Chaffetz...
