An article in the Virginian-Pilot describes "how Obama turned Chesapeake blue" by registering voters and getting out the vote. Chesapeake voted for Obama 50.27%-49.01% and Warner 62.51%-36.55% . Too bad all those same Democratic votes didn't go to Andrea Miller instead of Randy Forbes. There's still a lot of work to do in Chesapeake.

Congrats to Congressman Randy Forbes who has cruised to reelection. Virtucon can safely call this race with 40 percent of precincts reporting and Forbes hovering at around 75 percent.

The Associated Press is reporting that Democrat Mark Warner has won the Senate seat now held by John Warner, who is retiring in January.AP also reports that Republican U.S. Rep. J. Randy Forbes has won re-election in the 4th Congressional District, fending off a challenge from Democrat Andrea Miller.
