Written by Jeff Giles, Tim Ryan, and Sara Schieron. RT celebrates Mother’s Day with our favorite good (and evil) cinematic moms. Mothers are precious. In fact, they're super-heroines…except when they haunt you, beat you or sell you into government office. (And even then, there’s some love there.) From nurturing and strong to manipulative and murderous, moms do [...]

Last month Rep. Tim Ryan threw his support behind Hillary Clinton. But it looks like he might be changing his mind. This morning, while discussing the results of yesterday's primary elections, Ryan told CQ’s David Nather: “I don't know if the fat lady has sung yet, but she’s clearing her throat”

Can Obama change U.S. political map? (JOHN FORTIER, 4/8/08 , Politico) In a recent study of presidential elections since 1944, my colleague Tim Ryan and I found that states’ partisan leanings tend to move with the national popular vote rather than change wildly based on the candidates. Imagine a state that leans 10 percentage points toward a Republican when the national popular vote is 50-50....

So on April 19th, Congressman Tim Ryan (D-Youngstown) is going to be the keynote speaker at the Clermont County Democratic Party's dinner. Ryan was one of several being recruited to run in 2006, but instead supported Paul Hackett over Sherrod Brown. His support for Hackett alone should give Ryan a jump in SWO.

Here's one from SWO who remembers that Ryan campaigned with Hackett in Hackett's Congressional bid. He's a very appealing speaker and should make the Clermont Co. Dem. dinner their best ever, especially since Dems have previously been out-registered by Repubs about 3 or 4 to 1 in Clermont Co. Wth all the new Dem. registrations for the primary just passed, would hope there would be a lot more...
