That was the good news and the bad news. In 2006, the economy lost as much as $200 billion because of the poor health and shorter lifespan of the uninsured. If we don't do something soon, by 2018, health-care spending will rise to $4.4 trillion -- more than one-fifth of the economy. Ok. Stand up for a public option, Ciro. You know it's the right thing to do.
