Ron Paul responds to critcism that his attempts to get transparency from the Fed essentially amount to putting Congress in control of U.S. monetary policy and stripping the Fed of independence. Joe Kernen: 'Look at what Congress has done to American fiscal policy, now you want them to run monetary policy, that sounds insane' Ron Paul: 'If you want to be a strict constitutionalist, there's a lot more...

Congressman Ron Paul’s quest to bring down the Federal Reserve continues. In a CNBC interview this morning he reiterated again his firm position against the activities of the Federal Reserve being conducted in secret. That is, all the think-tanks and publications funded by wealthy members of the Establishment oppose Ron’s Austro-libertarian-populist message and style. That’s a matter of duh-analysis, of course, so one can hardly be shocked that the conservative, Republican, pro-Fed, pro-IMF, pro-World Bank Heritage Foundation has come out in opposition to Ron’s bill–now an amendment with...

One of the most fascinating aspects of the health-care reform debate are the creative, highly targeted arguments that outside groups are marshalling to try and kill it. My current favorite is from the Gun Owners of America . (If you think the NRA is a bunch of accommodationist wusses, this group's for you.) Saturday, the organization issued a warning to its members, featuring this motivational bit:...

Chuck Norris gives a thumbs up to RGD : Thanks to Ron Paul and others, last Thursday a House panel decided to audit the Federal Reserve, finally providing some accountability to this financial runaway train that doles out billions to whomever it pleases. Even with this mandatory audit, however, the Fed's monetary policy deliberations will still need to be reined in. I recommend two insightful and strategic...

After reading both Ron Paul's End the Fed, and Milton Fredrick's Capitalism and Freedom, I too am anger at the Federal Reserve and want its end. Apparently, I am not alone in sharing that sentiment. And, moreover, seeing that the dollar is weakening , mostly due to the Feds tinkering over the past 90 plus years, and gold rising in lack of faith of the former.

I found Paul Treanor while trying to find critiques of Libertarianism . This was at the time when Ron Paul's face was plastering the internet on both sides of the issue. That makes sense since Libertarians aren't sure either! I liked it when one Ron Paul supporter decried his opponents as Libertarians! Which leads to the fact that I have always had a dislike for Libertarianism which has been made stronger...

Umlauten Br ü no , Sacha Baron Cohen's much anticipated follow up to the very nice Borat , hit DVD and Blu-ray this past week, so I figured I'd give it a review. For anyone who doesn't know already, Br ü no centers around an Austrian fashionista named (gasp) Brüno. And from this point forward, I'm going to stop using the umlaut because it's annoying. Anyway, Bruno screws up real bad...
