Statement from Jim King, AIP Chairman

All: In June, we held a legally called party convention, where we reaffirmed our party affiliation with the Constitution Party, and confirmed the nomination of Chuck Baldwin as candidate for our party in the Presidential election this coming November. News, rumors and speculation that we failed in this effort are grossly premature. The Secretary of State’s comments [...]

Is California Keyes country?

In my July 14 TAC article about Chuck Baldwin’s Constitution Party presidential candidacy, I noted, “In California, the outgoing chairman of the American Independent Party has been trying to list [Alan] Keyes as the nominee rather than Baldwin.” That move appears to have succeeded: The California secretary of state’s office has recognized Ed Noonan and [...]

Constitution Party Schism in California

Eric Garris passes along the story. Unlike the rest of the country, the Presidential nominee for the Constitution party in California will not be Chuck Baldwin, but will instead be… …wait for it… Following a split in the California American Independent Party, the Secretary of State has decided that the pro-war faction is the [...]

Constitution Party VP Candidate Visits Arkansas

Darryl Castle of Tennessee is the Constitution Party candidate for President (Chuck Baldwin is the candidate for President). He visited the state last week and actually got a little face time on KARK, in the last half of this TV news report. In my dealings with Mr. Castle, he seemed very competent. I did notice that the meeting drew a very sparse crowd, I guess he is not a "rock star".

Chuck Baldwin: ‘I am an American!’

Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party’s candidate for President, warns: Free republics are not known to have long life expectancies. At the ripe old age of two hundred and thirty-two, America is definitely showing her age. She is long past her prime, and some are predicting her demise. No, some are PLANNING her demise. Focusing on the implementation [...]

Founder of Connecticut Branch of Constitution Party Died Earlier This Year

Joseph A. Zdonczyk died on February 19, 2008, at the age of 79. He had founded the Concerned Citizens Party of Connecticut, which seems to have first appeared on the ballot in 1988. The party’s chief issue was opposition to legalized abortion, although the party took stands on a full range of issues. [...]

Ohio CP submits presidential petition

Ballot Access News On July 14, the Ohio Constitution Party submitted almost 12,000 signatures to place Chuck Baldwin on the November ballot as an independent presidential candidate. He is the first independent presidential petition to submit a petition in Ohio this year. The state requires 5,000 signatures, but Ohio voter registration records are so poorly maintained, [...]

The only choice left

The NC Constitution Party may be a bunch of whining babies, but I do side quite heavily with the national platform. Chuck Baldwin is a familiar name to people in radio and in evangelical Christendom. He is the only sane choice left in the upcoming election. In 1860, Abraham Lincoln was a third party candidate in a fledgling Republican Party. It can happen again. It is not likely, but it can happen....

Who Are These Bible Thumpers?

I just read an e-mail that tells about an interesting article that has been posted at the Constitution Party's (And My) candidate for Governor of the State of Missouri. The article tells about some folks that have been labeled Bible Thumper. "When someone makes the statement “Bible Thumper“, they refer to a Bible-believing Christian in a negative way. Yet, I feel great joy in my hope that they are...
