Looking Up Delegate Information is Tough When GOP Delegate Michael Brodkorb's Party Website Hides the Information.

A certain blogger, who happens to be a delegate from Minnesota to the Republican National Convention, was in a tizzy the other day because part of the Minnesota Secretary of State's web site was down for a short time. In...

Fourth of July Scenes I'd Pay to Watch.

Mark Ritchie and Michael Brodkorb, given two minutes each, face to face, to talk about patriotism, voting and citizenship. Two more minutes each — Brodkorb on why the secretary of state is an incompetent partisan hack, then Ritchie on why...

Can't Be Trusted

In a hit-post from this morning, Michael Brodkorb posts excerpts from Al Franken's book 'The Truth (With Jokes),' which he says was published in 1995. The problem is that the book was actually published a full decade later, in 2005 . Since Brodkorb couldn't even be bothered to trust the book's release date, how can we trust that the quotes aren't made up from whole cloth?

Michael Brodkorb Links to Interesting Blog Post

In a recent post, Brodkorb linked to Lambert to the Slaughter . Most of Lambert's post was critical of Team Franken for tactical errors (as it should be). Team Franken does come across as the gang that can't shoot straight. For some reason Brodkorb didn't include this pull quote: As I said a few days ago, Franken has to turn that vast library of jokes, skits, standup routines, and even recreational...

This Is So Typical

Joe Bodell of Minnesota Campaign Report mentions that Michael Brodkorb, our favorite paid Republican operative claiming to be “independent”, is having a staged hissy kabuki fit over Robin Marty’s post that included a tweak at those conservatives who really do think God uses hurricanes and tornadoes to attack gays. As Joe says: Robin’s post below [...]

Norm Coleman and his Campaign Won't Comment on Al Franken's Playboy Article

This is very interesting. Why would Norm Coleman be shy about commenting on the Playboy article? Remember that Coleman and his campaign have NOT been shy about attacking Al Franken for other tacky things he's written or said. This time, Republican women, the Republican party, and Michael Brodkorb have been pushing this story. It reminds me of how Norm Coleman could publicly condemn Larry Craig, but...

Brodkorb Spins More Facts into Lies.

Is Michael Brodkorb, the avenging troll of the Party of Business and Capital, actually clueless about business and investment? Or is he and the party deliberately presenting big untruths disguised by little facts? Which is it? Stupid or vile? Let's...

Regularly Scheduled Programming

(newsflash! - Michael Brodkorb continues the Swifboating of Al Franken.) Yesterday, Brodkorb ignored Sack’s cartoon and started a post that essentially accuses Franken of forgery, without accusing Franken of committing forgery. It's this type of “throw crap against the wall and see if it sticks” “journalism” that Brodkorb is infamous for. But since Michael and the Republican Party of Minnesota (as...

IT'S TRUE: I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY EVIDENCE THAT NATIONAL DEMOCRATS ARE TAKING STEVE SARVI’S CAMPAIGN SERIOUSLY

“Critics say Sarvi isn't perceived as a threat in the race, with party officials targeting campaigns considered more competitive. ‘I haven't seen any evidence that national Democrats are taking the race seriously — or on the local side,’ said Republican activist and blogger Michael Brodkorb. Fundraising has been admittedly difficult so far, Sarvi said. Melendez predicted [...]

IT'S TRUE: I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY EVIDENCE THAT NATIONAL OR LOCAL DEMOCRATS ARE TAKING STEVE SARVI’S CAMPAIGN SERIOUSLY

That Ol’ Double Standard Again

Last Monday I did a piece on how the AP has joined the local media in the Twin Cities in enabling a certain paid Republican operative and blogger named Michael Brodkorb, treating him as respectfully as they do Matt Drudge, even though (like Drudge) he's known for spewing bogosities. And like the national press, the Twin Cities press isn't as deferent to non-conservative bloggers; the same media that...

Mikey's a journalist?

Patrick Condon of the Associated Press repeats the canard of Doug Tice of the Strib (although Spot can't find the link to the Big Question post at the moment) when he writes that a Minnesota court found that Michael Brodkorb was a journalist: Brodkorb started Minnesota Democrats Exposed anonymously in 2004, when he was still a paid employee of the state Republican Party. He outed himself in 2006

Kos uncovers Brodkorb-Condon-(Miller?) cabal

Ron Jay Miller (no relation) writing at Daily Kos discovers a supposedly symbiotic relationship between celebrated Minnesota blogger Michael Brodkorb and the AP’s Patrick Condon who wrote the article this week that highlighted Brodkorb’s deconstruction of the Al Franken campaign. Condon's story, of course, was the piece that was picked up by national media outlets this [...]

AP Shows Off the Sleezy Relationship between Reporters and Opposition Research
