Can't find map updates anywhere - 5 / 10

too bad. I like this unit but feel that the maps are starting to become outdated. Which means that this product will have a short shelf life. If you are looking to keep your unit for more than a year or two then I have to agree with others that you should go with a brand name so you can get map updates.

Was happy with the Nextar X3B but not now - 0 / 10

I purchased the Nextar X3B in Jan of 2008. I have been happy with the unit until 2 weeks ago when it would not turn on. I tried the Nextel on line help and all they could offer is that it is out of warranty and to check out their great exchange program. I called in to customer service and got the exact same thing. Not once did anyone ask what is wrong with the unit. Based on what I am reading it could be the battery but will not come on even with the charger. As the warranty is 1 year the unit should last much longer then 17 months. I sent a complaint request to Nextar and can only hope I receive a call back.
