don't get the 50 as your only lens, it's too narrow. Get the 18-55 non-VR zoom lens, or a 35mm F/1.8 for low light. Maybe both, if you can manageCamera Labs - 06-2010
Congratulations on your purchase. I'd recommend the 50 f1.8. Your results at higher ISO on the D80 may not be amazing (I haven't tried one as I jumped in late to the DSLR party when the D90 had arrived), so the f1.8 will give you better low light...
