Philips DCP850 Portable DVD player not value for money - 1 / 10
anonymous - 04-2009BUYER BEWARE THIS ITEM IS NOT REPAIRABLE AT ALL I purchased one of these units 6 months ago for my daughter aged 9. It broke one day when she opened it after very little use. I sent it back, hopefully for repair under guarantee. The item was classed as "deliberate damage" therefore not repairable under gurantee. When I tried to pay for the repair myself I was told that none of the internal components in this player were replaceable and no components are available to be purchased either. You cannot even get the battery replaced when it fails. This player is therefore not value for money and certainly not repairable. I certainly will not be purchasing another DCP850, or any other Philips item in future. I could have got a different make of product for half of this price.
