Description:Following the premise first introduced in the movie of the same name, The Mummy Returns casts players in the role of the evil mummy Imhotep or valiant adventurer Rick 'O Connell. Viewed from a third-person perspective, players must guide the character of their choosing through 12 stages, spanning familiar locales from the movie such as London, Cairo, and the ruins of Hamunaptara. All while fighting off enemies, traversing treacherous jumps and collecting items that will help them on their journey. Though their quests are similar, each character possesses different abilities and weapons. Rick 'O Connell has access to a variety of weapons, including pistols, shotguns, and swords, but must pick up health items to stay alive. Imhotep, however, wields magic and can absorb the souls of his enemies to replenish his health.Their paths differ, but each character must ultimately destroy the Scorpion King. While Rick 'O Connell wishes only to save his son Alex and wife Evy and the world, Imhotep desires control of the Scorpion King's vast army so he may conquer Earth. Throughout the adventure, players will come across more than 30 different enemies, including Pygmy warriors, museum guards and all manner of undead creatures. To help stem the tide of enemy warriors, players are aided by a computer-controlled ally. Either Ardeth Bey or Meela (depending on which character the user chose initially). A 3D map is also provided to allow players to find their way around the many levels.
