ATI or should I now say AMD, has been gunning for the mainstream market recently, releasing a small army of new and affordable performance graphics cards. Among these new cards is the Radeon X1950 Pro, a $200 US solution designed to counter the Nvidia GeForce 7900GS. Although the X1950 Pro was announced some time ago, there are still very few examples available, in fact most of the major online retailers only list the Sapphire and PowerColor cards. However, there are still a number of other brand name X1950 Pro cards floating around, most of them are just harder to come by. Just a few weeks ago the ASUS Radeon X1950 Pro passed through the Legion labs for a short period. This was an impressive looking graphics card that did not strike me as being a $200 US solution. Today we have the Gigabyte version of the Radeon X1950 Pro handy and it also looks to be an impressive product. Like the ASU
