Cork writes: Paul opposes the war on drugs and has said repeatedly he would pardon all non-violent drug offendors as president. Can you imagine Barr ever doing such a thing? When questioned by Stossel on whether a state government should regulate heroin or prostitution, Paul said no. Compare that to Barr, who supports the war on [...]

Ron Paul set out to influence the political debate in the presidential election, and he’s definitely succeeded in one sense – all the candidates want his supporters to get behind them. Bob Barr is making a pitch to Paul’s voters, claiming that his views are more in line with Paul’s than any other candidate. [...]

I wrote yesterday about the contest at War on Guns to design the best poster commemorating supposed "Libertarian" Bob Barr's support of the Lauternberg gun ban. Today, War on Guns tells us that there will be another opportunity to ask Barr about his Lautenberg connection. Tonight at 6:30 (I assume EST since the blog appears to originate in VA), Bob Barr's son and campaign spokesman,...

Representative Barr was a mean, remorseless piece of reactionary conservative machinery:...

In the CNN clip below, Ron Paul praises Libertarian Party Nominee Bob Barr saying he will give the people a voice in important matters. Very curious, will the passionate Ron Paul supporters now look towards Barr's campaign? Or will they pick McCain or Obama?

Bob Barr was slippery at the Denver Libertarian Party nominating convention and he’s just as slippery now. One of his great evasions, that fooled a lot of the less observant delegates, was his position on the war on drugs. The libertarian position has been that the war on drugs is bad policy and does more harm than good. And it is a major infringement on liberty and an impetus for the growth...
