Back to the NL, where the pursuers are drooling. The last series the Phillies won was in Atlanta, more than three weeks ago; maybe the return visit that begins tonight will inspire them to stop, y'know, sucking. A rookie pitcher named Charlie Morton starts for the Braves; Larry Jones Jr. is sidelined with a quad injury and might be bound for the disabled list soon.

ATLANTA - Kyle Kendrick is getting a little greedy. But that's OK. Greed is good in this case. He had thrown six shutout innings last night against the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field before he allowed three runs in the seventh inning of an 8-3 win the Phillies badly needed after playing poorly last month against the American League.

By Ryan Jones Every time I tuned in to a Celtics’ game this season, I’d notice Leon Powe and think, “Good for him.” I don’t do this with many players. I’ve written about plenty of high schoolers who’ve since made the League, and while it’s always fun to have written about a kid before he made it, I don’t often care much how they turn out. Powe, though, was different. At halftime last night,...
