Oak Ridge North City Council approved a $6.1 million budget for the 2009 fiscal year, which begins Oct. 1. The amount is a $1.5 million increase from last year’s $4.6 million budget. Residents will see a six-cent tax rate decrease from the current 70 cents per $100 valuation to 64 cents per $100 valuation.
