It appears that Sebastien Bourdais will keep his Toro Rosso race seat for the 2009 season. Co-owner Gerhard Berger dropped a hint that he is searching for continuity and a mix of a young driver with an experienced one. The young driver is rumoured to be Sebastien Buemi or Bruno Senna.

Heikki Kovalainen finished off this weeks four days of testing at Jerez, on top of the field on yet another very hot day at the Spanish circuit. Kovalainen's best lap of 1m18.385s was 0.4s clear of the next fastest driver, Toro Rosso's Sebastien Bourdais.
