A new recycling drive: Castoff clothes

As the crowd grew for the Philadelphia Marathon on Nov. 22, so, too, did the piles of detritus. Tossed-off T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, windbreakers, hats, gloves, an occasional scarf all littered the edges of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. More hung from the crowd barriers, like so much drying laundry.
