Scott McClain and Brett Harper each went 2-for-3 with an RBI as the host Fresno Grizzlies defeated the Salt Lake Bees 6-2 on Tuesday. Salt Lake pitcher Kasey Olenberger (3-3) took the loss, giving up six hits and four runs (three earned) in 5 1/3 innings.

Minor league free-agent 1B Brett Harper was invited to spring training by the Giants. …from what i can gather, the Mets made an effort to bring harper back in to the fold, but the player chose to pursue other options, such as the Giants, who do not have Mike Carp and Carlos Delgado [...]

After today's game, the Mets announced that Carlos Delgado will miss at least a week with a strained right hip flexor. …from what i can gather, there is no plan to promote a player like Mike Carp or Brett Harper, given how well Shawn Green has looked while filling in at first base …
