Or at least will soon be. Cameron Maybin 's surgery by the press reports went fine . Maybin, 22, underwent surgery to repair a partially torn labrum in his left shoulder. The team announced everything went well, and the speedster is expected to be ready when Spring Training opens in February. Don't know what to expect from Maybin for the season, especially since he is so young, he can be a bit erratic....

FOXsports is live-blogging from the Chicago GM meeting . The blog noted this about the Marlins earlier today... "The Marlins have received calls from three teams on second baseman Dan Uggla and two on first baseman Jorge Cantu. Club officials will meet at the general managers' meetings to determine whether trading either or both will be necessary to meet payroll. "The early signs are that...

Cameron Maybin will go under the scope on Monday . Cameron Maybin will undergo surgery Monday to repair a partially-torn labrum in his left shoulder. Maybin, slated to be the starting center fielder in 2010, is expected to be ready for spring training. The shoulder bothered Maybin in the second half of the season but not bad enough to keep him out of the lineup. Doesn't sound like it is a big deal....

The 2005 draft is another that may turn out to be more famous for who it allowed the Tigers to get rather than who it eventually netted the Detroiters. Cameron Maybin, Chris Robinson and Kevin Whelan were the Tigers’ first three picks and they were involved in trades that brought Miguel Cabrera, Neifi Perez and [...]
