Are the Mets good enough to Schmooze Torrealba

I know baseball is a business and money talks but are the Mets really good enough to schmooze things over with Yorvit Torrealba. Just early this month when discussing his pending grievance the catcher made it sound personal, that he felt he had a deal in place and that he was up set over Minaya speaking to his family raising their expectations only to pull the rug out from under them. Torrealba filed...

Dodgers Play Game 162

Manny Ramirez getting drenched in champagne last night. AP Photo/Gus Ruelas Do you know what dozens of bottles of champagne and cans of beer do to a clubhouse? Well I got a nice whiff of it this morning and picture it: you’re back in a frathouse in the middle of spring semester just as the scents of spilt beer and worn socks, shoes and boxers comingle into a moldy suffocating mess. Game 162: Jason Marquis vs. Vicente Padilla

After fighting tooth and nail for 161 games for a playoff berth and then for playoff eligibility, the Rockies will play their first and only meaningless game of the 2009 regular season today against the Dodgers.
