The Tigers are sending 3 representatives to the All Star game, and maybe one more. Justin Verlander, Edwin Jackson, and Curtis Granderson were all named to the AL All Star Game. Brandon Inge still has a chance ( a slim one) to get on the team if the fans vote him in. Verlander and his MLB [...]

I mentioned in today's game thread that Derek Jeter and Mark Teixeira were voted to start this year's all-star game. Mariano Rivera also made the AL roster. Here are the complete rosters for both teams: American League Starters C Joe Mauer, MIN 1B Mark Teixeira, NYY 2B Dustin Pedroia, BOS SS Derek Jeter, NYY 3B Evan Longoria, TB...

I’m back from my trip out east and regular posting will continue tomorrow. The Tigers went 8-6 while I was gone, but it sure could have been a lot better. Curtis Granderson, Edwin Jackson and Justin Verlander are All-Stars. Always nice to see the Tigers represented in that game. Special thanks to JAYRC who held down [...]

Thoughts on the AL All-Star Team You can find the full roster here . In my opinion - Ian Kinsler definitely got jobbed by the selections. He should be the starting 2nd baseman. I'm a Red Sox fan but Dustin Pedroia doesn't deserve it this year. Kinsler was more deserving than his teammate Michael Young but Young got the nod probably because the team needed another 3rd baseman (which in turn jobbed Chone...

Royals fans know how much the offense has struggled this season. These numbers of each A.L. Central team's 3-4-5 hitters (or best three offensive players, as Detroit's rotated quite a bit) indicate how bad the Royals are compared to the rest of the division. Kansas City Royals Billy Butler .289, 7 HR, 34 RBI Jose Guillen .241, 8 HR, 34 RBI Mark Teahen .292, 9 HR, 29 RBI TOTAL: 24 HR, 97 RBI (NOTE:...

MINNEAPOLIS -- Three Tigers appear to have a case for making the All-Star team for the first time: third baseman Brandon Inge, starting pitcher Edwin Jackson and centerfielder Curtis Granderson. They'll find out today if they've made the AL team for the game on July 14 in St. Louis.

Curtis Granderson was named to the American League all-star team today along with Justin Verlander and Edwin Jackson. Curtis is not having his best year this year (.256/.341/.467) and is really struggling against left-handed pitchers(.587 OPS versus LHP and .906 versus RHP). However, it's not a stretch to say he has been the second best center fielder in the league this year behind Torri
