AAA-Portland Beavers Beavers 8 Reno 7 F/10 Box Will Inman ONCE AGAIN gets shelled early and often. 6 ER on 7 hits in only 3 IP including 3 BBs 0 Ks and 2 HRs. In my opinion, Inman is pretty much done at this point and is a bust/non-prospect. He did decently in AA this season but his peripherals were still awful. According to MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez, the Padres designated pitcher Eulogio De La Cruz for assignment today to make room on the roster for Chad Gaudin. Paul DePodesta is now a multi-media blogger. He uploaded some video of some lowly minor leaguers that I've never heard of. DePo also chimes in on the Eulogio De La Cruz trade that took place yesterday. Apparently the scouts called him "little bull with big arm". Man I wish I had a nickname like that. De La Cruz is a power pitcher who pitches in the high 90's and has touched 100 on occasion....

According to MLB.com's Corey Brock, the Padres claimed pitcher Eulogio De La Cruz off waivers from the Marlins today. Cruz is out of options, so the Padres may have to keep him in the Majors to retain him. Cruz, 25, posted a 4.34 ERA in 25 starts at Triple A last year. He came to Florida as part of the Miguel Cabrera deal in December of '07.
